Yesterday I went in to Osu with a few of my friends.  Osu is a district within the capital city Accra.  There's a bunch of restaurants, shops, clubs, bars, etc...it has basically everything you would need/ want.  We walked around and ate at the restaurant Citizen's Kofi, the same one where we ate a couple weeks ago and had mexican food.  This time I shared nachos with my friend Kelsey and they were DELICIOUS! Afterwards, we walked to an ice cream parlor that sells gelato.  Ive never had gelato before so I was really excited to try it! I had the flavor "cookies" and it was so good! I will definitely be going back there again :) As we were walking along the street, two little Indian boys who looked like they were probably homeless, spotted us and ran up to us.  The younger one, who's height was about right up to my bottom, ran up behind me and was hitting my butt.  He was trying to get my attention, and since that was the highest he could reach, of course he would hit me there! This was very uncomfortable. The other little boy grabbed on to my friend Julia's arm really tight and would not let go for anything.  She was cracking up laughing because she could not pull him off her arm...so we were walking along the road with a little boy hitting my butt and one attached to her arm like a leech.  Im sure this was quite funny for everyone watching...My friend Kelsey finally grabbed the boy and pulled him away from Julia . This was sad to see these little boys, but yet at the same time really uncomfortable.  We spent several hours in Osu and then took a taxi back home.  As we were waiting at the signal to turn in to the school, my friend says "Chelsea! That girl is yelling your name"...i look over and there is a Ghanaian girl in a tro tro a few lanes over yelling my name and waving to me..i was so confused because i had no clue who she was, and yet she spotted me sitting in a taxi and was yelling to me.  I still have no idea who this was...i dont exactly have a bunch of Ghanaian girl friends and she didn't look like any of the ones i do have!  When i got back i walked over to the store to get a few things i needed.  I got a phone call from a number i didnt recognize...so my first thought was "oh gosh, some random person got my number!" Reason being because the other night i received a text message from a number i didnt know saying "Do not be dismayed by your dismay. Find the resolve it carries, and let it push you in a more positive direction.  God bless u" I asked one of my Ghanaian friends about this and he said that when you give your number out sometimes people will give it to their friends too or somehow their friends will get it... Anyway, thank goodness it turned out to be Fred Ellis, the guy i was connected with through my sister, who set me up with his family here! It was really great to talk to him...it was really sweet of him to call from the states!

Today i haven't done much and dont plan to! I have my first assignment in my statistics class so ive been working on that and doing some reading. Tonight im going to skype with my mom and grandma, so im excited for that :)
