Today i had two classes, one at 730 am and one at 530.  I spent my free time writing my paper that is due tomorrow for my orientation credits.  After my rural sociology class at night, I went up to that same girl that i had ran up to 2 weeks ago to ask if i could walk back to volta with.  We walked home together and she was telling me how she saw some of my friends doing laundry the other day (theres a big open area where there are two huge tanks of water and clothes lines, where people do their laundry) and that she was looking for me but didnt see me.  She said she was watching them as they were attempting to hand wash all their clothes and that they were really not doing it right at all! I thought this was so funny. I explained to her that were not used to having to hand wash our clothes all the time, so were definitely not very skilled at it, i told her she needs to teach me how to do it the proper way! She said she would and that if i ever couldnt wash my clothes that she would do them for me.  Of course i would never ask that of her but it was really sweet of her to say that.  We talked about food and i told her how my favorite ghanaian dish is red red (black eyed peas and fried plantains).  She was really surprised and said she would make it for me some time! Im really happy ive made a ghanaian girl friend because let me tell you, most of them are really hard to be friends with! She's super sweet and really genuine!
