Nkrumah Mausoleum, Independence Square and Thanksgiving!!
Sorry it has been quite awhile since i have posted anything. My time here is very quickly approaching its end so i have been trying to do as much as possible with my time left here! It is also finals time, i have had one final and a paper so far. My next final is tomorrow morning at 730 am (ehhhhh!). A couple of weeks ago I went and visited the Nkrumah Mausoleum and memorial park, as well as independence square. On Thanksgiving, our program put on a feast for us and the food was actually quite good! (not sure if its because i havent had that kind of food in awhile...or...because it was actually good!). It was kind of sad not being home with my family for thanksgiving and this helped make it feel a bit more like home. I cant believe how fast time has flown by and that i will be home in 2 weeks. I ended my internship at the hospital yesterday and that was really sad for me. It was such a wonderful experience and i made really great connections with several people including some of the patients. I will never forget my experience at the hospital! As the time gets closer to leaving, i get more and more sad thinking about this whole experience coming to an end. I am so thankful for this opportunity and wish i could stay here longer. I think its going to be really difficult for me going back home because i have enjoyed living here so much...however i am excited to see my family and friends!
